Vino-Trip: Meet passionate winemakers in Walloon Brabant

Vineyards

During a cycling weekend, you’ll ride along a 71 km route. You’ll be amazed by the beauty of the landscapes and the richness of our rural heritage.
We are fortunate to share this experience with you thanks to our partner Vino-Trip (from
 Destinations BW).

Day 1: Saturday’s program

Domaine de Glabais and the Abbey of Villers-la-Ville

Buzzing activity at the Domaine de Glabais

After a good night’s sleep and a hearty breakfast in our Cosy Cabins or The Castle Guesthouse, it’s time to pedal! Head to the Domaine de Glabais, just 17 km away. You’ll follow the node-point network to reach your destination.

Set in an exceptional landscape rivaling Tuscany, you’ll find delightful bubbles at Domaine de Glabais. There, you’ll meet a passionate couple with warm hospitality: Anne and Christian.

Villers-la-Vigne, a vineyard at the heart of the Abbey

After tasting the delightful bubbles of Domaine de Glabais, set off for a 19 km bike ride to Villers-la-Vigne!

Nestled in the exceptional setting of the Abbey of Villers, Villers-la-Vigne is a vineyard like no other! Restored during the 1990s, it consists of a plain and four south-facing terraces, surrounded by centuries-old stone walls. The vineyard covers 20 ares of planted land. Comprising over 200 members, the Brotherhood of the Abbey of Villers Vineyard collectively tends the vines, reviving the Abbey’s historic vineyard.

Day 2: Sunday’s program

Domaine du Chapitre and Vina Siesta

Domaine du Chapitre, a gem

For this day, we hit the road again, heading to Baulers, near Nivelles, to discover the Domaine du Chapitre. A very calm 16 km route that largely follows the RAVeL network.

The Chapitre vineyard emerged from a diversification of the family farm. Once a livestock and grain farm, the Domaine du Chapitre began gradually replacing grains with vines starting in 2013. Today, the vineyard remains 100% family-owned and independent, with a gradual transfer of the farm from parents, Etienne and Annie, to their children, Guillaume and Bertrand. All operations, from vineyard work to bottling, are carried out by the family. Here, you’ll find true artisan winemakers.

Since then, they have received numerous awards at the best fairs and competitions!

Vina Siesta

You’ll have the opportunity to tour the facilities, enjoy a tasting, and have lunch. And afterwards, who hasn’t dreamed of taking a nap in such a beautiful setting? Thanks to the Vina Siesta, it’s possible! A unique concept created by Cœur Vigneron. We won’t say more—we don’t want to spoil your fun.
